RECLAMATION & FINE GRADING

Reclamation is a process of recycling the existing asphalt surface and sub base to better stabilize the foundation for your new asphalt paving  project. This method is used on Parking Lots, Roadways and in some cases Driveways. When an asphalt surface is reclaimed the material can stay in place. Harshaw Paving & Reclamation routinely completes Full Depth Reclamation projects utilizing the ability to reduce the cost of additional material and excessive trucking. 

Fine Grading is performed over a gravel sub base material to help guide the pavement installation process towards a smooth profile. With the use of engineering and grade stakes, a layout is set for the Grader to follow and maintain. After this process is completed, a 10-14 ton vibratory roller is used to compact and stabilize your sub base before the Asphalt Paving begins.
