ASPHALT MILLING

Asphalt Milling or Cold Planning is a process of removing the top layer of your Roadway or Parking Lot prior to the installation of the new asphalt surface. This can be a cost effective solution if the existing asphalt surface is distressed, heavily cracked or separated from the binder base course. When the asphalt is milled, it is distributed into trucks that haul the material to a facility to be recycled into RAP (Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement). The RAP can be used in place of a portion of the virgin aggregate when manufacturing asphalt, making a green and environmentally friendly product reducing the costs of energy and natural resources.
